I was thinking about starting to bow hunt. Any recommendations on a good bow.

i bought a new bow spent a big chunk of money on it and never got into it. i never brought it in the woods. i shot it in the yard for a little while and lost interest so i would recommend buying a good used bow and shoot it for awhile and make sure you really want to get into it before you spend a bunch of money wich you will on a bow.

It just depends on how much you want to spend. I wouldn't get hooked in on just one brand. They all will do the job it just depends on what you want to spend and which ones fits you the best. Go put your hands on how you can can and see which one fits you the best.

I just bought a Ross Cardiac 31 before the season, got it tuned in and I love it. I've shot two hogs so far with it, it's super quiet and extremely forgiving. And $640, it's way more moderately priced than some others. But Allegiance is right, you need to go to a bow shop where you can shoot a couple different ones that you're interested in, and find one that fits you best. I would recommend Bayouland Bowhunters in Lafayette if you're near there, specializing in BowTech. Great bows, great service, and won't let you leave until that bow is set up perfect for you. Good Luck!
