ATV winch ??

Reply

Looking for a replacement winch to fit the Bad Boy buggy. Currently have a Ramsey ATV 2500 on it ,but it has bit the dirt. Took it down to find gook in the end cap with the brushes, the armature is rusted and the gear section is locked up. Looks like this winch was a piece of garbage for only being on the buggy for 2 years.
ANYWAY- Looking for a new winch and not an expensive $500 job.
emails or postings appreciated to help with my quest.
thanks
sowtrout out.

winch
check on e bay I bought a venom winch 3 years ago, I have had it under water, pulled logs, stood up deer stands with it and have not had any problems with it. I think I paid like 200 for it. There is a couple of them on there now for around $225.00

Winch
The best, superwinch X2. My trawling buddies all use them they hold up real well on a boat but i'm not sure about a bad boy buggy. Also, the take the cable off and put spectra rope on them.

Warn 2500, it is a sealed winch no worries with dirt or water. Been tearing up mine for 3 years and still kickin. You get what you pay for.

2nd the warn thing
Warn makes a badass winch. Just about everyone at my club runs warnns and they are tough as hell. They spend time under water, mud, salvania, and just about anything else and keep on kicking. As long as you put the silenoid somewhere high and protected you'll never have any trouble with them. I don't personally own one because I'm on the broke college kid budget but I highly recomend spending the extra cash on a warn. I believe they have a lifetime warranty as well which is huge.

I agree with some of these guys war makes an awesome winch but all winches break and you are going to have a problem every once in a while with any winch you get so my opinion is get a Gorilla they get great reviews and are cheap as hell like the other guy said get on ebay and just take your time looking if you can find a warn at a good price then grab it but because they are a little hard to find at a good price just get what you can and when it breaks (which I have had my gorilla for 3 years now no problems) get into the market again
