Bayou Black Bass fishing

Reply
Fellow bass fisherman. If you had to narrow down one area to fish in Bayou Black what would it be? Not asking for any honey holes, just a general area, Shell canals, Bayou Copasaw canals, Turtle bayou, Union oil field, St. Paul or Orange Grove? I fished Bayou Black twice in my life with weak results. It is a big area to learn when you dont fish it much. Thanks in advance for any help.

St. Paul's bayou is locally known as 70 mile canal because of the 70 mile marker on the ICW near the mouth of the canal. I fish Orange Grove and Turtle Bayou more than anywhere else. If you absoulutly do not want to catch a fish - go to Orange Grove and fish Paca Craw's, trick worms, buzz baits, chatter baits, crank baits and brush hogs - like I did this past Saturday. Worked like a charm, NOT A ONE FISH!
