DU Pennsylvania Tests the Waters in Port Sulphur ~ www.ReelLouisianaAdventures.com

Reply
DU Eastern Pennsylvania Regional Director Jeremy Mercer and his buddy, Paul Bramble from Maryland, made the trek south to test our waters for reds on fly recently. After discussing their timeframe, we decided on Jan 30th and 31st as their target dates.

I scheduled their trip with Capt. Bryan Carter aboard his Hells Bay flats skiff after determining the sytle of fishing they wished to do. With the blustery cold fronts rolling through, I told them it would be touch-and-go. Finally I gave them the all clear and they boarded flights from the frigid northeast.

The weather was a bit windy for their first day, but the still managed to catch/release some trophy fish. Saturday was a really nice day and the duo caught/released numerous trophy sized redfish along with some bruiser black drum -- all on fly and all sight casted in skinny water.

Paul emailed me and said they had a blast -- so much so that they are now looking into property in Plaquemines Parish! Now they know why we call it "SPORTSMAN'S PARADISE."

Thanks guys, and we hope to see you again soon.

If you want to schedule a fly fishing trip with one of the top guides in South Louisiana, give me a call and I will handle eveything to make your day one to remember. We have some world-class sight casting to reds yearround, so give me a call to schedule your date.
