Dirty Rotten Theives

Reply
Just a heads up for anyone heading out to Toledo Bend any time soon...my brother-in-laws sons and friends just called to let us know that all of the boats parked under the floating boat dock at Bridge Bay Resort were hit by theives last night. All rods, tackle or anything not tied down were stolen. Even heard where there was a boat missing. I had read recently where some of this stuff was going on. Just didn't think a lit up boat dock, with all of the people that stay there, could get hit without someone seeing something. I was planning on meeting those guys tomorrow morning, but they are all heading back home this morning, since they were staying at Bridge Bay and lost all of there gear. Watch your stuff...somebody out there want's it too.

Sorry to hear that. I got a place on the lake. I've been telling folks for a while now about this. Seems some low lifes are hitting fishermen pretty hard. This year has been the worst I can remember for this kind of crap. If you go don't leave ANYTHING unsecured. See something that looks funny it probably is. I think a lot of this is happening by water. You can reach the Sabine Parish Sheriffs office at 1-318-256-9241. Guffey Lynn Pattison is the Sheriff and he would love to give these folks a place to stay. On another note. A thief is scared of two things. One is a big dog. The other is an unstable caucasian with a firearm. Just so you know , I don't own a dog.

Me and my crew will be staying at Bridge Bay Resort in the near future. If the thieves are not caught by the time we go up there, we'll be waiting. We will be up there for a week, so there will be plenty of opportunity for them to hit. If they try to steal something while we are there, we will make sure that they find their way into the back of a police car. So if the individuals that are doing this are readers of this site, I should be seeing you soon. You won't see us coming, but rest assured we will see you.

Ive stayed there at bridge bay and from the sounds of it the thieves must have hit that floating dock from the water don't you think? I mean its not really that accessable from land through all of the cabins there. Would be kinda hard to get stuff out of boats and into vehicles from that dock. Just sounds like they came from water in there to me. Need to sink thier #@%$$^^%& boat and tie em to a stump for 2 or 3 days if you ask me. They have been having problems at Rayburn also. In Dec. they had a College bass Tourny on Rayburn and after the 1st day of competition 11 or so teams had thier stuff stolen and couldn't compete on the 2nd day.

IT is going on all over and around the lake. CRACK HEADS I WAS TOLD. Dont leave your rods out in boat even while you go in grocery or bait store they have been stealing them there to. One guy got hit twice in same month for over $1800 worth or rods and reels.
