EASY LIMITS

Reply
The fishing has been nothing short of outstanding the past few days. Today was typical. We filled the bait well up with live croakers and headed outside. Our fist stop was a small wellhead in the sound and as soon as the lines hit the water – IT WAS ON – EVERY CAST ACTION! on 14”-16” inch trout. We started off with croakers Carolina rigged and quickly switched over to plastic. Speculizers and Deadly Dudleys (blue moon) did the trick. When we were about 30 fish short of the limit, we left them biting in search of some larger trout and we found them at a nearby rig. The big trout were slamming our free lined croakers. The technique was to lob the bait up current and let it drift back to the rig. Half way into the drift - BAM! These were nice 16”-20” trout and topped off the box nicely. We headed in before 10:00 a.m. with full limits of specks. We even had a few white trout to cook for dinner. This is the time of the year trout fisherman wait for and from now until late summer, the fish will be there! If you are able to get outside you should be able to catch some beautiful fish. If you like to fish with live bait for big trout in Black Bay and Breton Sound, you will love our guide service. We have the best deal on the bayou $500 for up to three and $600 for four and it includes LIVE BAIT, FISH CLEANING, FUEL and all other equipment and tackle. You only bring lunch and drinks. Give me a call to book your trip. I still have few days in May left and more in June. MARSHLAND ADVENTURES (504) 458-8737
