Muddy at Big Lake??

Reply

Hey one of our buddies went fish big lake today and he said the water was muddy all over because of the incoming tides and north winds. Do ya'll think it should clear up by Sunday with the East SouthEast winds(or whatever they are predicting)?

Funny no responses--
Seems like everyone on the LAS web-site is from the East now where did all the east siders go?

I hardly ever see anymore posts or responses from anyone regarding the West. Just wondering?

I agree I read this site every day and most all reports are from central La to the Miss. I mostly fish biglake and would like to see more reports from that area.

Water clarity...
The water was good at the Jetties. The reds and specks were biting finger mullet. I finished the morning with 10 specks (nice ones) 5 reds, and 5 sheapshead. The key is the finger mullet or shad.

more reports
well i'm going check it out tomorrow and i'll most likely post something by tuesday. We usually get home really late, and don't have time to take pictures or anything. Then comes Monday and we have to clean the boat plus the fish and once again too late to post, so tuesday at work i usually throw up a report lol

The reason you have not seen too many reports for Big Lake is becasue the fishing in the Lake has not been too good over the past few weeks. When I mean not too good I am talking about catching #'s of trout not a few big trout. I went last FRI (not this past one) and we had 17 Specs and 5 reds. Nothing to get too excited about for 3 people fishing.

Tide
An incoming tide will bring in good pretty water from the gulf. Yesterday around noon the water was looking pretty good.
