EAGLE GPS PROBLEM

The question mark indicates that the unit cannot find the present position. It should indicate the location where it was last able to receive a GPS position.
The specifications indicate that the unit has an internal antenna, so it should not be a corrosion problem with the antenna connections. That leaves an internal problem that is not function properly as a probable cause.
If your hot and cold restarts did not solve the problem, and the upgrade did not solve the problem, try a voltage check on the power getting to the unit. Does it fluctuate beyond the requirements?
Remember that the antenna MUST have a clear view of the sky in order to operate properly. The unit will not work inside a boat shed or garage.
If all of these suggestions fail to remedy the problem, then you should get on the phone with the EAGLE support section. They can be reached at a toll-free Customer Service line at 1-800-324-1354. Technicians and representatives are available to help you Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. CST, except holidays.
As a note, I do NOT leave my GPS, sonar and compass mounted when I am trailering my rig. The vibration in the towed boat is enormous. Although these items are supposedly insulated to such socks, I believe that it diminishes the overall life span of all of such equipment.
Let me know how you make out with the dilemma.
