Which fuel supplier has less ethanol or no ethanol mixed with their fuel? I've been hearing that it's not good for the outboard motors and want to run the best fuel in my four stroke.

Anybody? Sommeone has to know which gas does not have ethanol mix in the fuel.

you are better off just making sure you use marine Sta-bil every time you fuel up

we need cleaner air so they say, who you say, the californians, they're the ones who is really running the country. going all clean and eating meat from the butcher where no animals were harmed, and eating meat free hamburgers. i have no idea why we are going clean now. we'll be long gone before the world goes kaboom. i have no idea which gas stations are ethanol free. i get very bad mpg with it in my motor and in my truck. keep on lookin and let us know.

Good luck! If obama has his way there will be 20% ethanol in all gas!! I don't know if you can buy gas without the 10% ethanol anymore.

I doubt anyone knows a place where you can get straight up 100% gasoline these days. It's like the dope man that cuts his cocaine. They know you have to have it and will cut it as much as possible to maximize profit.

Supposedly it is a state law that it is posted in clear view on each pump if the gasoline contains ethanol.

You can buy test kits on the internet to check for ethanol levels. Google.com: ethanol test kits.

The Shell Station south of Gonzales claims to have 100% gasoline. And the Texaco at Coursey and Sherwood use to claim they had 100%.

I believe ethanol is the biggest farce on the american people in 233 years. It does not do anything to cut our foriegn oil dependance. It only makes farmers in the midwest richer, politicians richer, and pollutes/kills our seafood industry here in Louisiana from the enormous amount of nitrogen and pesticides used that flow down the MS River and create a larger and larger dead zone each year.

Mechanics love the stuff, because their porfits have shot thru the roof by replacing/servicing/fixing fuel and exhaust systems on vehicles. Oh yeah and you get about 20% less miles to the gallon with ethanol mixed fuels than you do with straight gasoline.

How often does your CHECK ENGINE light come on? I am sure everyone's does a helluva a lot more than it use to. Especially vehicles built before 2000. When you go to get that precious inspection sticker... that'll be 18$ for a failed test and another 200-600 dollars to fix the problem so you can pass.

So remind me again why this is such a great idea that no one will put a stop to?

Oh yeah thats right, if a politician was to speak out against it then they wouldn't get re-elected. Oh yeah that's right, let's use corn for fuel so the cost of cattle feed will go, then the cost of milk goes up, then the cost of a hamburger goes up. OH YEAH then the cost of Gas goes up becuase it is more expensive to process ethanol than it is gasoline. Let's not forget the excessive amount of diesel it takes to get the corn to the factory for the tractor and the combine and the 18 wheeler.

All dollars, no sense.

Q: Are there any ethanol free gas stations in baton rouge la?

A: Not quite Baton Rouge, but I guess it depends on how bad you need it: I have heard from multiple sources that the shell (super stop) just west of the tanger outlet in Gonzales has e free, also the shell near burnside and airline in gonzales, and the shell in prarieville where highway 73 crosses I-10. Sorry its not closer to home, but there you go. Might want to test the gas first too (fill jar with water, draw line at water line, put gas in, shake around, if there is ethanol the acqeous layer will no longer be on longer be on the line). Good luck.

Any gas station that has ethanol in the fuel are required to have it marked on the pump by Louisiana law. Now if they actually do it or is it being enforced is another story. As addicted to quack said, always use Sta-bil fuel stabilizer every time you fill up.

Bridge Side, Morans on the corner of la 1 and hwy 3090, and the conoco on the opposite end of grand isle. we have 6 engines in the family that are broke due to ethanol. from eating the gas tanks, fuel hose, or just do not run with the ethanol

My check engine light won't go off. I can't find a set of catalytic converters that will work for more than 2 months before crappin out. My old 350 doesnt like it. I went from 15mpg to 13mpg. My 1993 outboard hates the stuff. It is JUNK. Why not invest all this crap in bio-diesel? The BTUs per acre are much higher from what I'm told. So does marine stabil help even out the nasty effects this stuff is having on everything I own???

There is no law that requires posting that gasoline has ethanol...in fact, if it has 10% or less, it is not required at all. Most do post due to liability reasons.

I don't know which stations in the BR area have conventional gas but I can tell who does not...any shell, exxon, texaco, chevron...pretty much all the branded fuel has ethanol. There is only one refinery in the BR area that still produces unblended gas...Placid in port allen.

In the Nawlins area, the only safe bet is Exxon...Chalmette Exxon does not blend.

Some stations that sell unbranded fuel, RaceTrac, Cracker Barrel, etc switch back and forth between blended and unblended...it is all based on price. When you see the gas prices above $2, blended fuel is cheaper at the racks.

Louisiana most certainly does have ethanol gas pump labeling laws. By state law, if a dealer has ethanol added to the gas, they must post an E10 sticker on the pump, like i said before, if they do it or not is another story.

Many of the LA Express station around Pointe Coupee and West Baton Rouge parishes have signs claiming to be 100% Ethanol Free.

LA Express lifts their gas mainly from Placid. Johnnie's store in Port Allen draws from Exxon...if he is true to his signs LOL

Louisiana does have labeling laws and they state that you don't have to label if it isn't over 10% ethanol. That is, unless they snuck a new law in under my nose this session.

I just did a check on the law and it requires labeling as of the year 2012.

i talked to the la. agricutural commerce dept., they are the ones you see at the stations checking the fuel, as of this past february, it is a law, if they have ethanol fuel, they are suppose to put stickers! i found some that have it and dont have stickers, here in thibodaux! you need to ask the owner of the station if he has it or not, everytime you fill up! it is up to the owner, whether he orders ethanol or not. ethanol doesnt automatically come from the refinery, it has to be put in the gas if someone orders ethanol fuel. the owners can still get 100% gas, if they want it. like someone said, depending on the price, some stations switch back and forth! remember, just because say, the conoco by your house doesnt have ethanol, that doesnt mean all conocos dont have it!! got to ask everytime, and dont go by no ethanol sticker on the pump!! just make sure you have a fuel-water separator and carry an xtra filter with you!! this ethanol sure is a pain!!! probably, the best thing to do is go to your outboardmotor dealer and see what the outboardmotor manufacturer says about ethanol. i am sure the dealers are getting info about ethanol from the manufactures! wouldnt hurt! going pickup my boat tomorrow at my dealer and i will talk to him about ethanol!!!
