Thanks
I have a 06 90hp merc, it sat up for almost a year before I ran it last weekend (runs with no problem), but I would still like to run something through it to help clean it out, in case there is any gunk biuld up in the carbs.

where can you buy
I just bought some last nite at wal mart, 1 pint was $9.00, treats 25 gallons, it is like sta-bil, but sea foam can be put in your gas, oil, crankcase, etc. I have heard good things about it, just checking on here for people who have actually used it. I will run some through my gas this weekend.

I have used it
I use it in my truck and my boat. I have a 2 stroke Tohatsu 50. I love the stuff. Keeps everything nice and clean and running smooth.

seafoam
I do a once a year shock treatment with one gallon of gas and you should see the black smoke that comes out of the engine. Engine idles much smoother after each treatment.

Gas treatment
Just had my 25 Merc carb re-done for $177.00. Ouch!!.. Use Sea foam all the time. I like the product a lot and I have used it for years, but the outboard mechanic says that the blue colored Stabil is better for taking care of gas that may have ethanol in it. He feels this may have been the problem with my motor even though I use Sea Foam.
