Delacroix Report:

Weekend wrap up. Good fishing this weekend in spite of weather. Rain on us several times Friday and all around us Saturday AM. Consistent strong westerly winds Friday and the wind started westerly moved to Northerly and ended out of the East on Saturday. We opted to stay inside on Friday and worked points and cuts picking up nice sized speckled trout, white trout, black drum, redfish and sheepshead. Most fish caught on artificial cocahoes, but some fell to live shrimp under corks and carolina rigged. Saturday we ventured deep into Breton Sound rig, well and reef hopping until we hit the river water. We stayed outside for several hours braving rough water and watching big storms work North, West and South of us. We caught fish, but it was extremely slow. The fish wanted live shrimp carolina rigged. The storms broke up so we worked our way back toward the marsh catching a few more big trout along the way. Stopped at an island and instantly got into trout action. These fish wanted artificial cocahoes on a fast retieve and live shrimp shallow under corks. We stayed on this steady bite until it was time to head home. The weather looks better for the upcoming week and we well be out there chasing them. Good luck out there this week!
