Anyone ever lease property from this company? I'm looking for a little information. How things work, can we put a camper on the property with a generator? Any information would be helpful, I've tried calling, but always get some dumb girl that can't answer my questions! Are there actually good #'s of deer on their properties? It says to visit the property on your on terms to check things out, but they give no addresses or information on how to get there. Any help is appreciated

i have been on a couple of good roy o martin leases. and depending on the area they could definately hold some good deer. look at some of my posts. as far as the camper. both of the leases i was on had a campsite setup by the land owner with water and elec. and we all had camps and campers. hope this helps

I leased 100 something acres from them about 2 years ago. It was very hard to find the land to check it out before I leased it I just got lucky and put the map they have on the website and mapquest togehter. The lease had a box stand already on it when I leased it. Before the season started I would get deer on my camera everyday but when the season started nothing. I no people were hunting on my lease because they would leave there trash everywhere. It was 2 hours away so would only make hunts on the weekends so im sure the locals had the whole place to there self on weekdays. Hope this helps.

Were those trail cam pics from a ROM property? The 1 major issue I'm thinkng about is the fact that I live in Denham Springs, and the closest property is probably 3 hours away. We have a camper and generator, but would be worried about leaving it out there with noone to watch over the land. Are the properties really marked clearly with yellow paint? When they describe the property as "tract features pine plantations and bottomland hardwoods" are there actually hardwoods? Oak trees that produce acorns? Or is it mainly cutover? Thanks again

all of the pictures i have posted were on roy martin. the hogs were in lasalle parish and the deer were in avoylles. as far as the property lines go?????????? if you have a really good idea of where they should be then you can find them, but as far as a visible yellow line of trees through the woods, absolutely not. and last but not least the thing we did in lasalle is met a local guy that owned property adjacent to our lease and made him a honorary member. by doing this he immediately let us setup a campsite on his property near his house so he could keep an eye on our stuff(camps) and he also let us hunt on some of his personal property( about 600 acres). pretty cool when you can tie together the network of sportsmen

i have been leasing a little over 200 acres for 5 yrs. now. The tract is located in Rapides parish and has a decent amount of game on it. The locals have been pretty good to me as far as stealing goes, nothing has ever went missing. I have a camp fully furnished and everything else you might need at a hunting camp there. The company is very easy to deal with once you are in. Most of the tracts have a designated camping area, some with some without elec. and water.

Get in touch with Chris Clayton at Chris.Clayton@royomartin.com He runs the leases for them. He has always been helpful. We lease a 50acre tract adjoining property we own. Other than being too expensive, I've had no problems with ROM.

You def. need to contact Chris Clayton and he will help you out. IT is hard to lump all ROM property into one. Our club has leased fom them for 25 years w/out problems. I think there price is too high but if they can get it I dont blame them. We dont have problems with trespassers and we have a camp ground with sewage, electricity, a well, and skinning rack. Most of our members leave their 4-wheelers next to there campers while they are not there and we have no problems. Our deer numbers are a little better than average, I prob. kill 3-5 every year. Our squirrel and wood duck hunting is good as well. Their price per acre is different in all parts of the state. Here in avoyelles and St. Landry parish you can expect to pay 13-15 dollars per acre and in the piney woods 5-8 dollars per acre.

Too expensive isnt the word... A couple of buddies and I put a bid on some ROM land thinking we had a fair chance at it. HA!!!! The 570 some odd acres went for $45/acre. This homeboy cant afford that.

a couple buddies and myself leased from roy o martin about 5 years ago.. i found that the price was fair and the company was more than willing to help out with whatever questions we may have had... the land was as advertised... the only problems we had was with one of the people that bordered the property... but besides that all was well... i would lease from them again without question.
