Delacroix Report:

The fishing this week has been steady. We have picked up trout both inside and outside. Inside, the above average tide has moved some of the fish well up on the flats, but most have moved into the adjacent deeper water. These fish are 13-18" with few throwbacks. We are getting them to bite artificial cocahoes slow bumped off the bottom in the deep water and a moderate retreive over the flats. Best colors have been smoke and alvacado, but the LSU color has had a presence. Outside we have been working rigs, reefs and wells in Black Bay and Breton Sound. Most are not holding the motherload, so we are hopping from one to the next until the box fills. These trout have been better size 15-24". The artificial and live are in a close race. Live shrimp and croakers carolina rigged have lured some lunkers into the boat! We have caught the most fish rig hooking to the structure and casting away. There have been alot of Redfish Cup boats in the area scouting for next weeks showdown. Be safe out there this weekend!
