VENICE BASS

I know this is a touchy subject on here but anyone been catching any bass in venice lately with the river being low? Have the bass returned down river yet? Caught a few fish last year but i stayed upriver. And most importantly did the grass return down river yet? It should be back real good with these two high rivers in the past 2 years. Any info would be apreciated.

There are no bass in Venice.

Thats what it seems like on this site when you ask for info about bass in venice, no one comments on it, they just ignore it like there arent any bass down there. But we both know better than that. Ask for any info about bass in venice and see how many responses you get

In the 5 or 6 years I have been on this site, I can't remember ever seeing a Venice bass report.

I sure wish I knew that area or had the testicular fortitude to go exploring down there but exploring the marsh is not something I get too excited about. Quite honestly, it scares the hell outta me...

I know the area very well, I been duck hunting & fishing down there my whole life, I just didnt fish bass down river since ike & gustav in fear in wouldnt be that great. Really just wanted to know if the grass was back thick around pass a loutre & south pass area, but i will find out on my own next weekend. There have been a few post about venice bass but no one ever comments on them.

they here pretty thick in the venice boat harbor!there was bass down here when the river was high, but since the river fell there arent as thick as they were.

I have a buddy of mine who caught quite a few down there a few weeks back.

if there's water there's bass.

i dont care wat ur trying to fish, whether its redfish, speckled trout, white trout, croakers, sheephead, hardtail, bass, bluecat, eel cat, bream, tuna, banana fish, dolphin fish, or WHATEVER it is, im sure u can find it down here in my home town of VENICE!!!!!

i agree, people are tight lipped about bass in venice, do not know why? we used to catch'em right around the wheel, in the fall on gold traps..........come to think of it you do not see many post about bass in the spillway either? pigeon, belle river area's? not like there is 500,00 canals and bayous that hold'em.........

theres plenty of grass, hopefully no storms this year
