Reply
As I posted earlier I am going back to pennsylvania this oct. to get the meat haul started early. I shoot a cva optima .45. I use the shock wave 200 gr. now, but, I am not very confident as it performs poorly. I shoot the .444 now as it is legal in La. but, If anyone has any suggestions or comments as to bullet weight and accuracy please let me know. thanks, the speck/deer slayer....

Man I was not having the greatest time with my muzzleloader bullets and I take it real serious until I talked to Cecil. He is the owner of PR bullets and he hooked me up. My friend and I bought the large recession pack at a steal for premium bullets and I almost feel guilty hunting with my muzzleloader now, unbelievable. My friends gun performed as well as mine. We got the 260 gr Elite hollowpoint which are known for making instant one shot no track kills, this was perfect for both of us in cutover country. My bullets are the Extreme Elite 260 and shoot one ragged hole at a hundred with 75 grns loose T7 and the game doesn't take a step. You need to try these but don't shoot them with 150 grns of powder, they're made to perform at a little slower speed and your gun will shoot alot better. Also note some CVA's have blown up with 150 grns powder as the barrel is not proofed steel. Type Precision Rifle in google and look at their products and e-mail Cecil direct or just call them, great service and fabulous product. Once you get these bullets you probably will sell that 45/70 as these are the ticket for me. When you get them e-mail me and I will tell you a couple simple tricks that will send them into one hole.
