These are just 1 1/2 year old bucks, give them more nutrition from january to september next year via summer plots and supplemental feed and they will put on some bone. Good looking young bucks.

Yeah those are some young deer most of my 1 1/2yr olds look like that. Most of them turn out to have some good racks if u give them time. I've had spikes smaller than that tun out to be decent 8pts by the next year.

The latest studies proves that those small spikes can grow to full racks.

They are just young. Please just let them grow. Nothing wrong with them at all. Next year will be a lot bigger.

Please don't shoot these babies. You will be alot happier if you let them hang around a atleast 2 years

The horns are to tall. All they will ever be is a spike or a 3 point. dont wait. Shooooot!

It is proven that just bc it is a spike at a young age(1.5yrs old), that they still have potential. I would let dem boys walk.

Some people comment without experience or knowledge. Yeah lets shoot them all thats the motto. Man those are beautiful young bucks with great potential. My young bucks are usually not quite that good at 1 1/2 years of age becuase of lower quality browse and mostly pine trees but at 2 1/2 most of my bucks are 11" to 14" inside spread and usually 8 pointers, some 7 pointers and an occasional 6 pointer as we have mature 6 point genes in our area. At 3 1/2 my bucks usually sport 15" to 17" inside spread and are usually mountable by most peoples standards, at 4 1/2 yrs old they are gorgeous and often above 130" in pine tree land. Let Um Go and Watch Em Grow!!! Or kill everyone you see cause if I don't someone else will, ignorance trailerpark management. You decide, you hold the magic ball. I've never seen a 5 1/2 year old Cowhorn although they do exist in some areas but are pretty rare, not near as common as the ignorant people who shoot the young bucks because they claim he'll always be a spike. My 2 cents plus change.

i would leave them one or two more years cuz they aint but 1 maybe 2 years old

If you are in to hunting for quality bucks give these young deer a year or two to develop and you should be impressed. I can say that of all the spikes I have seen in the woods only one was older than 2 and his horns would only grow 3-4 inches every year, the club i was in would not let us shoot spikes. looks like you have some nice young potential on your club. Good luck this fall.

Let me tell you something da sha'.. da deer are barely 1 year old ,, there babies with there first set of horns and there proud ,, as they will be legal to kill in louisiana this upcomming season ,, it would be a terrible mistake taking them out this year.. they all have potential to be big racked.. They are NOT cowhorn spikes ,, a cowhorn spike will have spikes growing to the back strap not to the nose.

These are healthy looking 1.5 year old deer. Let em go another two years and you'll be thankful. These are not cow horn spikes.

I watch 5 bucks in my backyard every evening. I have been studying my deer for 3 years now, they are practically tame. Trust me, smoke them. Next year they will be a raggedy 5 or 6 point. Get them out the gene pool.

Let those two young deer live.

Made to go watch out for the rattle snakes up there. Killed one at the camp this weekend not far from you. 11 rattles on it.

Those are both young deer. Shoot them if you want too but if you are asking I am guessing you want to know if they have poor antlers for their age... culls. The answer is NO, do not shoot them as culls. Shooting them as culls would be a mistake.

Thanks for all the comments fellas, Im not really a trophy hunter, because to me any deer that Im able to kill is a trophy, I bet im just as proud with a doe or a spike as most of you are with a 10 or 12 point, but I think I will let them walk, after all its not like im starving for meat, hell I still have deer meat from 2 years ago. I have other bucks alot bigger that I can put my tags on. thanks again for all the input.

Those are some pretty young deer with fairly tall spikes, although one of them looks more like a 4 point. Where I hunt they wouldn't last too long, but I wouldn't shoot them and culls. Meat maybe, but not culls.
