Delacroix Report:

No tidal movement today out of Delacroix. The tidal range was .7 feet and was supposed to rise until early afternoon, but we could not find it. I guess the water has been so high, that there is a head for the fall and it was at a standstill. We tried a few rising tide spots early with only a few trout to show for the effort. Fished both inside and outside and could not find moving water. Decided to find some artificial movement by playing the wind driven water. Set up on a point way South and drifted live shrimp under corks. The trout finally started to feed and we got into a nice mess up to 20" with no undersized fish. We also picked up redfish, flounder and black drum in the mix. It turned out to be a nice box of fish. When you are given lemons, you have to make lemonade! The tidal range for Friday looks like .2 feet rising till noonish, but it is anybodys guess as to what will actually happen. Good luck out there this weekend!
