Trying to pacify the INLAWS

Reply

Listen guys, I know replying to boring post with no pictures is more work than fun, but I'm asking for a little help anyway. I have been lucky enough to have been asked to spend the weekend taking my very, very, inexperienced inlaws to fish out of Coco- Marina. I fish the area usually twice a year in the summer months and fish out near the beaches etc. Where do I go now? Have the trout moved inland yet? Should I stick to hunting down redfish? Any info would be a blessing. The inlaws are paying for the room it'll suck if they go home with no filets!

deep holes
man give them inlaws a small pole and hook a crab on it ,, drop it in a deep hole(one of the passes), let them hook onto a big drum or bullred, they will never forget it. use strong line so they don't break off. Oh yea bring a gaff to handle them brutes. i'd forget about the trout till winter, it's kinda on and off till it cools the water temp down. robinson canal has plenty of them , fish close to the lake. with whole crab.

How simple of a request DUKREAPER
How simple of a request for this guy. You stated that these in-laws are very very inexperienced. Here is the deal. Get a couple of pounds of market shrimp fish the deeper holes Carolina rigged. Every time they pull up a hard head start clapping and brag on how nice the fish is. When you get back to the landing give them the box of fish. You will be the hero.

launch
there's a launch on the south side of the bridge. also laperouse canal just below robinson, opening you up to bayou terrebonne , oout to barre if weather is good enough to venture out. , idling up the bayou would depend on size of boat ,, i don't if i'm in a small boat.

Are you crazy?!
Sniper, when i say the inlaws pay for the room, that's absolutely all they do. Yours truly would have to deal with a box of hard heads. That aint happenin! They'll be satisfied with just a few of any kind of keeper fish. A.b., I didnt realize there was a landing by the bridge, I usually leave out of Dulac. Thanks again!
