13 year old lacy takes this 10 Pt. buck at 500 Yds.I know it is hard to believe I ranged it with a bushanell elite. She was shooting a 7mm with a mark 4 leapold LR.
We went hunting in the marsh & it was youth day. And we saw the 10pt buck 360 yards. At the time i was shoting the 243, and tryed shoting him but it was just to far for the 243. We told the other members in the club about the big buck. So they were hunting for the big buck too. One member shot at him for muzzleloader week but it just wasnt his deer. He was seen one other time during rifle seson but he couldnt get a shot. Before we went on our next hunt i wanted to see if i could shoot dads 7mm to reach out to the big buck. I shot it and felt comftable with it. Then we went hunt a morning hunt and that morning me & my dad seen a few doe and we saw a 6pt dad asked me if i wanted to shoot it and i said "That is not what i want." It started getting late and no deer were walking. So dad told me to see if i can get a stedy rest for a long shot, so i felt i had a good rest. Then dad seen a doe walk out and he told me to put the cross hairs on it and see if i can hold it stedy, i could not find the doe, and while i was looking for the doe i saw the 10pt(that i named fred the day before), i said dad its fred, its fred, in the short trail by the tree line. Dad grabbed his range finder and ranged the deer at 500 yards and set the scope for 500 yards, and fred walked out in the trail and i shot the 10pt, he dropped in his tracks. Dad could not belive that i made that shot, he was speach less. A fellow hunter was in a stand near by and was looking at our stand with his bonoculars and saw me make the shot and heard the bullit fly through the air and hit fred(the 10pt) He thought to him self fred is in trouble now. So we climb out the stand and go look for fred and he was in the trail right were i shot him. I was sooo exited i was speach less too Dad was so proud of me hes still talking about it. Now lets see him beat that. Thanks alot for all your comments.
