Who outthere has this camera? How's it working for yall? Its the new Wildgame Innovations model IR-4, sells for around $89 to $99. My dad bought one and for the most part likes it except that he has to change the batteries out about every 10 to 15 days. And thats even using top of the line batteries. Anybody having issues with battery life on this camera?

Thanks stealth. Anybody else have battery life issues, because if not, I'm telling my dad to send it back there's something wrong.

Ive got problems. but it is a lower grade camera a 1.3 megapixel. I'm guessing it's the batteries are going low and not powering the flash. i'll get 60 pics in 2 days and only can see the first two pics, where as the rest are black outs. the day time pics will still work. Sometimes my pics will be foggy or blurry.???????/

This is what I do, go down to your local junk yard get a good used battery from a newly wrecked car, get the clamp on terminals w/ the wing nuts on top. I then get a piece of wire 6-8 ft. get the proper plug in for my 12v power source plug on the camera at radio shack, solder the proper wires in place, almost always the center is + and the outside -.I then get an old small ice chest, paint it thats it. Now if you have a very long walk its kinda hard to carry but if you are only walking a couple hundred yards then this is the ticket. You will get plenty of batt. power which I have noticed will make any camera operate better. works perfect for me. If your camera does not have a 12v power inlet just make sure you but one with it next time. I get months of power with this set up..hope this helps......

Yea, I bought one from academy, & it runs the batteries down in about 4 or 5 days, & will take pics one after another! In just a few days I will have about 25 or 26 pics of nothing, just pics of the woods, No animals at all!!! This thing is JUNK!!!! And the worse part is I lost my receet, & cant return it or exchange it! Buy a Cuddie back, my batteries have been in it for a few months now, & have over 400 pics! No blank pics, everyone has an animal in it, & the bettieries last a long time!

I have 3 Wildgame Innovations now. I have a 1.3, 2.0, and the 4.0 IR. I use ENERGIZER batteries and they last about 2 weeks. When they get low it will take pic's but they will be black. I don't know what the 4.0 will do yet . Its been out about a week , and I haven't checked it. ENERGIZER's are the ticket !

I bought one last week and set her out Thursday. I checked it yesterday and got almost 200 pictures on coons and crows. The only problem is that the images look really weird. Maybe there is a setting that I did not realize but if not there is a major problem. I will make a new post with a picture example.

I have one and change the batteries out every 5 days no matter what kind I use. Takes good pictures, but eats batteries like candy.

Well, needless to say, I am a little PO right now. I did my part by going to the little man for my business and now I am stuck with a faulty camera. They said that they do not take returns due to damage and that I need to return it to the manufacturer. I understand that this is what the manufacturer wants. However, I think that they could have been a little creative and gave me a new camera. Did I mention I have to pay shipping to get it back to the manufacturer! Maybe this is the norm but it still upsets me.

Oh, battery life looks good. Going on day 6 and they are still at full power after taking 200+ terrible pictures.

On all the ones I have the battery will still show full power, but it will start messing up after awhile. Check them periodically so you aren't wasting your time with dead batteries in the woods.

Thanks Wingbone. I changed out the SD card and will check the pictures this afternoon. If the pictures are still distorted I will return. If not I guess I should change the batteries.
