First let me say this Deer did not come from some high dollar hunting lease, where Big Bucks are all over. We have been on a 6 point or better for about 8 years, I've shot a couple of nice deer, but nothing like this.
It was a light rain, I had heard 2 shots earlier on the other side of the lease. At a little after 7am, I saw movement and hear he came in a slow trot, not stopping in the food plot, I knew right away he was a good deer, but not how good. As he made it to the edge of the woods, I picked him up in the scope, found his shoulder and fired. He disapeared from my sight and I said "O Lord Please Let my shot have found its mark. It happened so quick, I didn't have time to be nervous. I climed down, and when I got to Where he was lying and saw his rack, I allmost near died. I Thanked God for giving me such a great oppertunity.
Funny how things work, I was planning a trip up north this year for my fifteeth birtday, but funds were to short. As fate would have it, I got a deer of a lifetime right here in Louisiana and the best part this was my fifteeth deer I ever shot. Good Luck to all.
