Same deer?

Reply
O.K. This is my 13 yr olds first attempt at deer hunting and I am a duck hunter. We found some sign,,put out a stand and some corn and this camera. I know this is not the best camera or pictures but this looks like maybe two differant deer. On the one facing left I count three on the left. On the second I can only see two on that side. Like I said,I am a duck hunter and don't want to tell my son a story but I think if he knew there were two in the area it might pump him up a bit more because he's starting to lose faith. Any better picture experts out there?

He hasn't even seen the pics yet. He will when he gets home from school today.

Glad you found the right spot! it looks like the same deer to me. however don't let him lose faith, if you need to tell him there are 2 tell him there are 2 because where there is one there are typically more. how long did you have the camera out for? are these the only 2 pictures you got?

That looks like the same deer to me also, in the first picture when he's facing left, your seeing his right side lined up with his left, thats why it looks like he has three on the left, you can also look at the angle of the tynes on his right side in both pics. Still a nice deer though.

I guess it's the same deer. I have about 19 pics of him then in a two week period but not a single doe. Whats the deal with that???

Similar experience. I put out my camera and checked to find out ever single picture was a buck picture. I moved it to the other side of the ridge and then there were plenty of does along with an different group of bucks.

I have heard of people getting does pics and then later once the bucks show up they does stop coming to their corn for pics.
