Finally got a new boat

Reply
Finally after months of searching for a good deal on a good boat, we came across this one. We are so pumped to hit the water. This thing is literally like it rolled off the showroom floor. its a 2005 with 75 hours on it. cant find a flaw on it. would easily pass as a 2009 model, thats how clean and great shape it is in. pics look good but they don't do it any justice. And got it for a great price. Just thought I'd share our joy with you guys.

Congrats on the purchase. I see it's a Skeeter ZX20. Not too big...not too small....just right. You will love it. I have sure enjoied mine.

I sure hope so. we been hitn the bridges (except causeway) in our lil 16' cajun special so Im sure we are gonna love it going from that to this

Just a suggestion that you may want to think about. The removable battery access door can and will come off during transit if you hit a big bump (crossing RR tracks and some bridges)
Trust me, Mine came off when I grought it home from the dealer. The fix is simple enough. Purchase some heavy duty leader material and some wire ring terminals. Fabricate two lanyards and attach them between the door and center console. This way, if the door does come off, it will not fly out of the boat because it is teathered. Just be sure to make the lanyards long enough so you can place the door on the deck for servicing the batteries

I'll definitely check into that, thanks for the heads up

Also looks like you have an aluminum trailer, good luck with your new boat

really a great looking boat, looks brand new!!! 4 stroke, can't beat that, much better fuel economy, and don't have to spend money on 2 stroke oil, big savings there!!! and so much quieter, and you can actually talk to each other, when you are running!!! 75hrs. just broken in!!! i think you made a really good deal!! good luck!!!!! just a piece of advice, flush it on the ears, fresh or saltwater every time, for about 15 minutes!! you need to flush it while it is running on the hose, not just on the little flush connector, if they have one?

man I just wish the weather would calm down a bit and we could take it out

I have an 08 just like it and love it!!!! FYI there is a seat cushion that goes on top of the live well,my friend has a boat like ours also and forgot to fasten his cushion and it flew out on the road. cost him like $150 for another one.You just have to get with a dealer and he will order you a matching cushion once again congrats you are gonna love it

thanks, we have all the cushions and stuff but they are just stored in compartments for travel. we have one for the baitwell and 2 for the rear deck over the hatches back there.

Congrats on the new skeeter Warren .

I am jealous.

If you ever want to take a trip to the causeway and learn a few things about the place, shoot me an email and I would try my best to be good company.

that sounds great to me. I've learned alot over the last 2 years from Eric D. and this site but I still got alot to learn. Are the fish still on at the causeway?

You son of gun! I saw that boat on the classifieds. I was hoping it would still be there next week. Oh well! thats one hell of a deal. You will enjoy it i'm sure. Good luck fishin!

we got lucky on it. we was the first to look at it and settled on a deal. the pics dont do it justice. We showed up about 2 hours after it was posted and he had already gotten 10 calls. We told him we would be back monday to pay up. When we went to get it his phone started ringing, he said that was the 25th call that day on it. it was a really good deal and we've been waiting a while. a few deals like this have slipped through our fingers but luckily we finally got our hands on a good one

Shoot man, I don't even think Cpt. D knows if there's any fish on the causeway right now.
Weather been too bad.
Anyway, beautiful boat man and slowly figure out the marshes.
That's where I have the most fun trips.

beautiful boat. Need to put a power pole on it'll be complete. Can't stand to look at all of these nice boats, gives me the itch to upgrade my ride.

I was checking em out yesterday. Maybe next year we will get one. I want to get one but convincing my parents to buy it is a different story

what u need to do it take that clean boat out into the marsh and get yourself a long piece of pvc pipe to be used as an anchor. Let your parents try to stab that into a strong moving current. When pulling it up slush that anchor all up in the mud and swing all that mud into the boat as u are pulling it up. Now ask for power pole upgrade.

yea you aint gotta sell me on it. Ive seen it and its definitely nice
