I have a Stealth Cam trail camera. Wuold like advice/comments on settings....time out,shoot1,shoot2,shoot3,etc. First time I set it out, caught an 8 point(night) and a spike(day). Since then,it has taken pics, both day and night(mostly day),but no game shows in pic??????????

I have 2 one I450 and a I550, I personally set mine on 3 pics every 3 minutes. They do take pics of absolutley nothing sometimes but thats how infared camers do sometimes. I use a big 12 volt batt. in a old ice chest with the proper terminals and get awsome batt. life and the camera seems to operate better w/ a steady source of power. Make sure not to point the camera directly into the rising or setting sun. hope this helps. daspeck

Not too sure about your situation, but if you're watching a trail the camera should be angled down the trail slightly. Do not shoot straight across because the trigger time may be too late. If you shoot straight down the trail you may trigger before deer get into flash/IR range. That can't be the problem during daytime false triggers, though. Birds and brush will cause false triggers as well be sure to clear brush around camera. A feed pile would be different. Better luck in the future.

Which direction is the camera facing? I have a stealthcam 1540IR; if I face it South in an area with direct sunlight I get many shots of nothing. If I place the camera facing north it's all good. East and West doesn't seem to matter as much as North or South.
