I'd get that deer officially scored! He's gonna have very little deductions! He may be a Booner!!! Not many people around these parts can say that! Congrats!

hard to tell, is there a kicker on both g2's? can't ask for any more symetry. that is a beast. and to think, my mom is from avoylles and my granpa would shoot deer like that and throw the horns down by the bayou.( gota couple good ones in the wash shed though)

Range rider
I was a range rider years back & never checked-in anything like that. The rule was 17" main beam or 15" inside.

Yep, Grand Lake.
Yep, this deer was killed at Grand Lake. And yes, it is a VERY good deer that pushes 170. I saw the deer after it was killed last week, and if memory serves me correctly, it does have double kickers. Currently the regs allow members to shoot one deer with 4pts on one side, and a second deer having a 14 inch inside spread or a 19 inch main beam. I'd put the genetics in northeast Avoyelles against any, anywhere. The only problem is letting them get old enough to see their potential.

Grand Lake Deer
Great Deer!! Best one killed at Grand Lake ever, been hunting there since early 80's and it is the best one yet. GL members could see better deer if they would quit shooting every litle buck with four on one side.. I am anit this rule b/c they are shooting there best genetics before the deer can mature. You are looking at a club located b/w Federal and State Game Management, and private land that are very selective of what they shoot. They have plenty of cutover and should grow some monsters, but they will keep shooting young bucks, not sure if it is the right plan but then again you have 100 members who have roughly $70,000 invested they want to kill something. Pictures of this deer were taken on Paradise Hunting Club which borders GL also...Anyone interested they have a share coming open $127,500 for camp and share....Mr. Tommy great deer Congrats...
