Miller's Lake

Reply
I'm new to the area and looking for some information on Miller's Lake. Is it open to the public for fishing? Is any permit/license needed other than LA Fishing License? Is it open 7 days week? What hours is it open for fishing? Is ther any horsepower or boat size limit on the lake? Can one fish from the bank? Is the lake good for fishing for bass, sac-a-lait, bream, and catfish?

Thanks in advance for the information and advice!

$5.00 to launch, open seven days a week sun up to sun down, basic freshwater license. The lake is real good for all of the fish that you mentioned. Right now, the brim are around the camps and the sac a lait are in the trees in the middle and the button woods. You shouldnt have any problem running in the lake unless you start to veer towards the back. Also, as the weather warms up, fish the duck blinds for some more action. good luck. P.S. set your parking brake!

Thanks for the information. I think I'll give it a try this weekend if the weather cooperates. Know anywhere close that I might buy some shiners?

I fish the pond i meant lake often. The best bet for bream and white perch is the trees. I do quite well on plastics and jigs in the spring for bass also...

Papa Smurf, is your comment just a hint that you want everyone to stay away because the fishing is so good you want it to yourself? If so, I am glad to hear it. I was thinking about heading there this weekend but if the fishing really is bad I might head somewhere else.
