Fished hard for two days on North end of lake. Stained water, temp varied from 52 - 59 in back of creeks. Had 4 bites, caught 4 keepers. Super slow spinnerbait in 4-6 feet of water.
I fished the midlake area all weekend. Saturday, 15 bites, 5 keepers, sunday 10 bites 4 keepers. All fish on saturday were caught on brush hogs, all fish on sunday were caught on flukes.
I was fishing them on top over grass flats, got several reaction strikes like that. In deeper water 2-3 twitches then pause and let it fall, then repeat. Also, in the grass, fish it on top until you find a grass pocket and let in fall in there. Make sure you have a stiff rod to get them out of the grass.
Fishing back ends of creeks on the north end, caugth 9 keepers on soft plastics on Sat., 12 keepers on Sunday fishing spinner baits. Water temps still in the 50's. Sunday you had to cast six or seven times at the same tree or log to get a hit.
