250 HPDI
It's a great dependable motor but however they do not get near the fuel economy that a 225 gets. I am running one on a Skeeter 20i and I couldn't ask for a better engine.
Ranger Z21 what prop are you running on your motor to get 80 mph out of it, the best I can get is 75 with a decent load in it but mine is lighter and a foot shorter. I'm not trying to call you out or anything I was just wondering so maybe I could change things around to better my fuel economy and speed. Thanks!

Be careful.
I had an 03 and it blew up at 400 hours. The HPDI's from this era are known for lots of powerhead problems that are secondary to fuel or oil injection problems. Do a google search and you will find lots of information on this. There was at least one and possibly two recalls on the oil injection pump on the 2003's and possibly the 2004's to. I would stear clear of this motor unless it's a screaming deal.
