New To Sportsman Network?

I had Justin and his buddies all from Minnesota. The guys had a good nights sleep at the REEL INN Dularge. We took advantage of the outgoing tide most of the morning, then switched to big fish once the tide started coming in. We joked and cut up on the boat all day until the skies fell out. We…

Hoping someone can help me out. When I fish in the river in Buras, I launch at Lloyd's. The only other launches that I know of south of Buras are the ones in Venice, Venice Marina and Cyprss Cove. Are there any other launches into the river between Buras and Venice?
Fort Jackson has a public launch. When you go in the entrance there is a road that goes to the left. Take that and the launch is to your left. It's just a backdown, nothing special but it's free.

Let me start by saying Delacroix fishing is my favorite! The redfish are always plentiful and large. I'm not much for trout so can't tell you any sea stories about limiting out in Delacroix. This trip was no different. Fishing Thursday afternoon, Friday, and Saturday resulted in 39 reds, 4…

I have fished out of Hopedale, Louisiana, for many, many years. This is a SE Louisiana village of fisherman and sports anglers since its inception. What you see here in these pictures is a striking view of a lone tree in an endless field of marsh grass and water—standing out like an announcement…

Went Friday evening to the Mud Lake Bayou Dufrene area to throw a spoon in the grass beds. Had one bite and it was a bass, I missed it. Saturday morning I headed out to Big Bayou Dularge. I fished the drains and wound up with the opposite of my usual problem of the reds being to small. This time I…

I had heard that Ascension Parish had bought the boat landing that accesses the Maurepas swamp off of hwy. 22. It had a barroom next to it. Is it now public and open? It's a couple of miles east of the Airline. Thanks.
Last time I used it was a rough ride in, driveways were horrible. Parking lot kinda smallish. Leads out to new river canal through the pump station.

I was there the morning being referred to. I know the person that is being accused of breaking in line to launch his boat. What is not known is that he did not intentionally break in front of anyone. He did not see the line because it was off to the side and not where it usually lines up. Once he…

HEY GUYS MY WIFE JUST TOLD ME THAT FOR V-DAY SHE WANTED TO GO CATCH SOME WHITE PERCH. PROBLEM IS I FISH SALTWATER AND DONT KNOW ANYWHERE TO GO. I LIVE IN WESTLAKE AND WAS WONDERING IF ANY OF YALL COULD TELL ME A GOOD PLACE TO START.THANKS
First, you're going to need about 2 feet of surgical tubing with an inside diameter of .34centimeters. When you bring up a white perch or sacalait, insert the Cath just above the anus hole. Insert to a depth of approximently 1 inch depending on the size of the fish. This should do it!

All folks who fish and swim in our Gulf waters be careful and attentive. My son was invited to go on a trip this weekend out of Grand Isle for snapper. There were 7 people total on the boat. They fished for red snapper 24 miles out, then fished for mangrove snapper about 8 miles out. Everyone took…
