Doesn't anyone kayak fish anymore? Check every day for reports but none to be had! I'm going to try to get out this weekend. If i do I'll be sure to give ya'll something to read! And hopefully some pics!

Well i ended up doing a combat launch at the end of a road in the back. SKUNKED! only second time since moving here 2 years ago i came back without catching anything. That was the First time I've been on the water in like 2 months too. I'll try again this weekend.... just not those canals!

Nice post. Wondering if you can shoot hogs with shotgun if rabbit or squirrel season open. You can on management areas but I haven’t checked for refuge. Shotgun with hevimetal goose loads or hevi x goose loads will do them in. Good luck.

Planning on doing some kayaking in Henderson and new to the area. I would like to launch from around the area in the photo. Any advice on which of these are public/private?
They are all pay landings. Cypress cove will not let you dock there. You have to belong to there club. If I where u I would dock between the interstate.

Finally made it to geoghegan yesterday. Managed a few small bass and 5 specks, 4 keepers, biggest was 17in. Fished SLOWLY on tube bottom of the deep hole where it opens up at the back of the canal. I was going to ask about geoghegan canal by the rigolets marina. I know they stack up there in the deep hole when it gets cold, but I've been too busy to get on the water unfortunately!
