Anyone know of any bow hunting clubs in louisiana, would like in south west la but any info on any that you may know of would be great....... also if you know of any gun hunting clubs that may be taking in new members next year please let me know! THANKS!!

Looking for a place to do a self guided or diy bowhunting trip with no trophy fees at a reasonable price for my dad and i. would like it to be in louisiana or the surrounding states. anyone know of anything like this????

He came out Friday 10/23 at 6:08 pm back bone shot dropped right their could not have went better.

Looking for input on the Trophy Ridge React 5 pin sight. Its the one that's advertised to automatically calibrate your long distance pins once you set your 20 & 30.
That is the sight that I've used on my last two bows. I love it. Currently I have it set for 15 yd increments. 15,30,45,60,75.

It works as advertised.

I shoot the Rage mechanical broad heads in my Tenpoint and like them. The most important thing is practice and knowing your yardage.

I bought a pearson recurve at a yard sale last week and it needs a string. The bow is marked AMO60 but I've seen where it says 3' and 4' shorter. I normally get my compound strings at www.60xcustomstrings.com but I have no idea when it comes to recurves.

I am going to be strictly bow hunting. Ldwf website says bow hunter ed is not mandatory. Am I required to have any other kind of hunter ed to bow hunt?
you need hunters ed to be able to buy a license

this is my second year to bow hunt, I recently bought my first crossbow and have got in a lot of practice with it, i'm just wondering if there are any seasoned hunters with a few tips for someone who doesn't have much experience hunting with a bow?
Are you planning to hunt on public or private land? How did you do last season. Did you get any shots? Have you done any scouting yet this summer?

If you are hunting alone, you will have to make two trips or alternate carrying gear then dragging deer twenty or thirty yards each until you reach yiour truck. Some management areas allow atv to retrieve deer but I don't think you can have gun while doing so. Check WMA regulations for details.

Way to go Drew. Beautiful buck I would sure be proud to kill him. That is a rough looking bunch in the pic with you. Your Dad and uncles look awfully proud.

Hey guys,
I shoot rage mechanical for deer, but want to spend the off-season shooting hogs. Should I stick with the rage or go with fixed blade.
I shoot the Hoyt spyder, 70#.
