I had a most unusual sighting on a recent scouting trip down at the Atchafalaya Delta WMA. Back in late September we found this turkey, that was obviously very tame, walking around on the Big island. It walked right up to me. I checked with one of the game wardens who told me apparently someone…

Glad you got the pix, being that tame he won't last long where he is.

Had a call yesterday. Poor guy bought a Horton Fury 160 lb. crossbow after hunting season last year. Wanted to use it this year, but the limb was broken. We looked ALL OVER THE PLACE for a new limb. Found one at Dave's Archery (http://davesarchery.com/). Not on their site, you have to call at…

What kind of lighted nocks do you prefer?
Please give the brand and any pros and cons that led to your decision.
I have been shooting the nocturnal lighted nocks and love them. there is a positive on/off switch that eliminates the chance of them malfunctioning on impact. I have not had one…

Opening evening i got a chance to put a Rage in the cage of a nice Doe, when she came in with another doe all she would give me was a quartering to me shot, But I knew the Rage would do the job because I've done it before. I put the pin on her neck and squeezed, the Rage cut through her neck…

First Day of Bow Season. Just starting a forum to see where people are hunting, what they are seeing, etc. just trying to get an idea of what's going on, tactics people are using, things people are seeing like Scrapes, rubs, chasing activity, etc.

Got some new lighted nocks, wanted to see how fast and flat my bow was shooting. As you can see very fast and flat!!!

Went on a trip to North Carolina last weekend and decided to put the rage aside and try the schwackers out and the first morning busted this 4-pt. sneaking around. Quartering away shot was a little more of an angle that he looked like but did the job none the less.

Got her new PINK inline vertical crossbow, she loves it.
How does it shoot compared to using bolts? I like the idea of full length arrows. On this one can't you shoot vert and horiz?

I am thinking about getting the new Hoyt Carbon Element and wonder if anyone has anything negative to say about it. Having been out over a year already its been in the hands of some hunters enough now to know of any issues or problems. Anything you don't like about it?

Posting this to see if anybody out there has shot/is currently shooting the Maxima Reds by CX. What are the likes/dislikes? I personally choose speed in an arrow. The Maxima Red doesn't not satisfy that choice for me. If a hunter prefers that pile driving feature of an arrow, this is the arrow…

I just picked up a recurve 175# crossbow. It came with short aluminum bolts and said that carbon 20' bolt with 100gr broadheads are recommended for hunting. I got a few carbon bolts and was wondering what makes the broadheads different for crossbows. I have plenty broadheads that I use for my…

Time to start gearing up. I just recently started finding my first rubs in the woods as the deer begin to shed their velvet. I have had as many as 5 bucks running together and soon that will be a thing of the past. Bow season is less than a month away and its time to start preparing that fall…
