Petey Kern was back again with his crew on the big 26 Blue Wave Boats. Our first spot started out slower than it has been. Lots of smaller fish busting shrimp all around the boat, while the bigger specks were away from the shrimp. Once the bite played out, we made a move and found a good bite of…

Great day with new customer Paul Scheurer and crew. We were able to get on a run of trout early before the wind picked up. Once the winds were up howling we took it deep into the marsh and broke out the bait shrimp. The heads, reds, and drum didn’t disappoint. Guys put together a great box…

I am looking at buying a new spinning reel for redfishing here soon. The one I had didn't work too well, gears sripped and the drag wasn't as reliable as it should have been. Not looking for a huge reel, something light. What do yall recommend as far as a good spinning reel for fishing plastics…

Is Lake Catherine itself worth fishing? Totally new to the area...

Will fishing the full moon in April or May be productive with plastic baits and a cork around the State Park or will I need to get and keep live shrimp or market shrimp? Also will the water be too cold and I will need a chest wader? If I bring my boat, will the odds be better with better access…

Just wondering how rough lake P gets around the twin span and train trestles? Too rough to fish out of a 15' bass boat? I know the lake is rough some days but on an average day what you recommend?
I got a 16 ft and in the lake I go with winds 10 mph or less only. That short ride from the dock can get rough.

I heard someone say that they were fishing with someone and they would pull up to a spot, drop a wire in the water and if the salinity wasn't right they would roll to another spot. I guess they were testing the water till they found the perfect 'salinity' for trout and then Fish in that spot. Can…

@Angler Management I am in a similar situation. As far as where to go... Robinson Canal(below Houma) is a good place to find drum. It is not an open beach, but shrimp/dead mullet on the bottom will net you a few drum. Try the Matrix Shad tipped with a little dead shrimp at PAC under a cork.
