Helped out Capt Travis on this trip. Tough fishing the last few days, between the sharks, trout not wanting to bite and 100’s of gaff tops. Lots of running around.

Thanks Capt’s Shawn and Jared for taking care of Drew and Craig’s crew for me. …

Gaiennie Lumber crew was here for their second trip of the year. We wasn’t sure about the weather but we woke up and skies looked clear. We found pretty water and started catching right away on double rigged Matrix Shad. The problem was the sharks were so bad it was hard to get the fish in the…

Anyone here ever heard of a Leatherjacket fish? While throwing my cast net I caught why I thought was a Pogie. It was a little shorter than a Pogie and was really slimy feeling. As I went to pull it out it stuck me. I think it was one of its bottom fins. TOU TALK ABOUT BURN?!?! I figured it would…

Was it this fish? I have heard about them before, never caught one and honestly don't want to. Hope your hand gets better, a friend of mine had that happen years back and it took a couple of days for that pain to go away.

Day two with Wesley/Kelley Carambat and Durel/Anne Matherne was a little bit slower than day one, but we still put a good lick on the specks. No hot fast and furious bite, but a slow steady one. Double rigged Matrix Shad like always accounted for all of our fish. We stayed dry all day too,…

Wesley and Kelley Carambat and girls were back with me on their annual trip. The bite was off the charts!! We left the fish biting everycast, as they ate up our double rigged Matrix Shad like crazy. A school of bull reds came through while trout fishing and hit every line, we landed two of…

Short afternoon trip to south end of reef. Limit catch for two and left them biting. Fish hit clam and squid and flat fall jigs. Flat calm seas, gorgeous day, tasty dinner.

At last minute made a decision to go, Honey gave me a kiss and said don?t bring anything back home ????, heading back out I could hear reds smashing bait in the grass , put on a wake bait aiming at a red that just exploded on something , perfect cast bang it was on , water was starting to roll…

I haven’t been doing a great job on reposts but we’ve been going at it and the trout fishing has been solid. Mother Nature has tested us causing a couple slower days but that’s fishing. Double rigged Matrix Shad has been the ticket in shrimp Creole, glow, avocado, and green…

Was a rough start (pun intended) with very angry seas. We were questioning our sanity, for the first hour or so, and then the seas let up and water cleaned up. We picked away most of the morning, then made a move at the end, and started catching every cast on double rigged Matrix Shad! The guys…

I had the Burgess family onboard for some family r & r. It was a little choppy heading out but then the seas laid up. We were catching a lot of fish, but had dozens eaten off by sharks, so we had to make a move. We moved around until we struck the silver mine! The kids had doubles coming in…
