We took advantage of the calm waters on the July 4th weekend and it paid off all three days. Harvested our limit of red snapper, mangroves and a few vermillion. Water was beautiful out of South Tim.

Dead Zone 30 miles out but caught a Giant Trevale

We'll be at Grand Isle in a couple of weeks. Where should we be throwing the cast net for bait (I know, in the water!) Back side of the island, going out the pass? Thanks for any advice.

If you are looking for minnows, before you get on The leeville bridge, throw your cast net in any other the little canals of water next to the light posts on the right hand side of the road. Usually full of minnows. Good luck!
