Anyone know a good place to find tuna out of Venice? Going this weekend looking.

Anyone notice the Cobia starting to pile up at the rigs in South Tim and Ship shoal platforms? Thinking about going for Labor Day weekend. Thanks
I talked to Capt. Tommy Pellegrin and he said he has heard reports that the cobia have shown up at the satellite rigs there -- He also said the trout bite in Terrebonne Bay has exploded the past 2 weeks which is very unusual for this time of year. Hope this helps.

After a little lull tuna bite is getting better for us. Fishing hard and grinding is getting the job done. We have Aug 18 open. Amberjack season will open in August and that?s a guaranteed way to get some white meat after catching tuna. Give us a call Captain Dylan ?(225) 287-5821?
Man that's nice to hear! Are they still pretty far out? Last I heard was 60 to 80 miles.

Catching queen snapper, snowy grouper and barrel fish approximately 100 miles out of Cypremort Point on the 36 Invincible 'Whoa Daddy!'
I enjoyed the video. Nice to see the offshore action.

Each year I take the family to Grand Isle for a few days of fishing but this year we’re taking the skiff at the end of August does anyone know if the Kingfish are ever caught on the rigs close to shore?
We can catch all the specks and reds we can eat living on the North Shore but we…

I caught one about 30 pounds a few weeks back trolling back towards fourchon. I was probably 6-8 miles out. I was just screwing around not thinking I’d catch anything but I got 2 hits and landed 1

The fishing offshore has been really consistent on our day meat trips and the overnight tuna trips continue to produce. The rip is starting to get really consistent and August’s calm weather usually allows it to stay formed up tight. The mahi and wahoo bite has been great and a lot of…

Anyone ever fish the rigs about 400 to 800 yards to a mile off the beach near creole, La just down the ways from rutherford beach. I am going saturday to launch my kayak off that beach in front of them to test my luck if wind is not a killer. Any tips or good info would be awesome. They are small…

We found a school of hungry bull reds. It was an absolute blast! I can't imagine a better day on the water.

I know this is extremely last minute but I had a trip planned that did not work out and have people in from out of the country to offshore fish. If any captains have any availability in Grand Isle tomorrow July 7 please call me directly at 225-937-0800 any help is greatly appreciated!

Question of the day. Lets say five guys are on a offshore charter trip and everything went ok. What would b considered a ball park tip for all five guys on this trip. Four of them have never been before and don't want to give to little of a tip but also not look like high rollers either. Thanks.
I would say around 40 bucks a guy, maybe a little more or a little less, depending on your service....NOT based on how many fish you catch

The grouper are on fire right now and will only get better! Yellow Edge, Scamp, Scorpion fish, Longtail Seabass and red snapper is what we are pulling up from the bottom. Here is some pictures of these delicious bottom feeders!

Can anyone tell me the condition of the road in Freshater City that goes to the locks and boat launch.
Thanks
The first part of it is pretty bad had to go about 20 but once u get to the split u can cruise at speed, the ramp has a pretty good bump from shell to concrete on the right side if u stay to the left close to the wharf u should be okay, went Saturday.

11ft long 295 lbs, hand cranked from the bottom up

The tuna and swordfish bite is heating up and should only get better from here. Book a overnight trip to get the most bang for your buck and ice chests full of fillets!
