Killed this this weekend in Saline. came in with bunch of woodies. has woodie drake body and mallard drake head. his bill is same as woodie drake also. gonna have to find good taxidermy to mount this.
The kill of a lifetime, right there. Congratulations. I generally resist the urge to call up the taxidermists (the money that goes to him keeps me out of the field for a couple hunts), but with a singular bird like that, I'd cave in a hurry. Congratulations again.

This was shot this past weekend in the Bourg/Chauvin area.

Anyone else seeing these nest? We see them fairly often on my buddy's property near jeanerette. They are always made neat and clean with no mud in them, despite all the mud around them. I find it interesting to think that a wild hog would make a nest like this and keep it so clean. I will have to…

I have a chance on a lease in Clearwater, LA which is two miles off of I-49 and borders Bayou Cocodrie. This is pretty much across the interstate from Cheneyville. The lease consists of a big cypress swamp. Can anyone tell me if there are any ducks in this area?

Sunday I had the pleasure of helping good friends and family with a memorable gator hunt in the Delacroix marsh. Emery, Mitchell, and Jourdan all took there first gators on this trip. We had lots of excitement bringing 5 gators back to the dock that were between 8 and 11 ft. Emery jumped right in…

A few weeks ago I killed an interesting duck that was flying with a big bunch of Wood Ducks. They came in and lit and my son noticed that something was different about one of them. It's got a Mallard drake head and chest. The back and tail feathers are totally all wood duck. I guess I'll be…

Can anybody point me in the right direction for transom repair in the Covington/Mandeville area? I need some transom welding done to get me through the upcoming season before I can afford a new boat.
I have a little 14ft that has a crack in it on top.

Any help is appreciated.
I used an advertiser on this site called Tri Parish Fiberglass and they did excellent work on my 22' Predator Bay boat. the work was good and they went beyond my expectations. highly recommend.

I'm looking for a little information from my fellow sportsman if possible. I'm looking at purchasing some property in Magnolia MS, which is in Pike County. Does any one have pros or cons about the area? Your input is greatly appreciated.

We have property in Pike County. Lots of nice deer, lots of hills. I don't get to hunt as much as I would like to, but work gets in the way. We have tons of deer on our property, I see tracks and rubs all over the place.

I am kinda new to this deer hunting thing. I bought a bottle of doe urine last year and killed the first day I tried it. This year I bought a bottle of urine and a bottle of urine with estrous. A deer hunting friend told me to make sure the rut has started before I use the estrous or it will…

For the most part the rut in your area is over. The archery season opens in Sept so the gun season can open around the rut, well that is what I understand. I have taken does during the week of Thanksgiving that have already bred.

Reading article written by Chris Holmes about Squirrell Hunting. Then was reading responses. There was a statement made that Mississippi had just changed their non-resident hunting license fees. Out of state hunters would pay the same as residents. Does anybody else have any information on…

I haven't heard anything about Mississippi changing the fee's. So I am thinking that he got it confused with Arkansas.

Hello fellow hunters,
