I am looking for a good taxidermist. I have had many people tell me that Janet Beard in Denham Springs does great work. Has anyone on here seen her mounts? If so, can you post the pictures?

I thought it might be interesting to compare hunting club situations, as follows:

!. Number of acres.
2. Location
3. Type of terrain.
4. Number of members.
5. Does membership…

Here's a pic of my oldest son's age 9 first deer. What a blast this hunt was. I don't know who was more excited my son or me....
Congrat's to Ian on his first deer. Congrat's to Dad as well. The first one is out of the way, and now you two can relax and enjoy the bonding experience of hunting together for many years to come. I see a wall hanger in Ian's future. Good luck buddy.

Take the Butte La Rose exit and go north on the levee road and you will start seeing signs on left side of the road. You need to get a permit from the Corp of Engineering in Port Barre, La.

I JUST BOUGHT THE CVA ELITE STALKER IN THE .35 WHELEN. THIS GUN WILL NOT GROUP THE HORNADY 200 GRAIN SUPERFORMANCE ROUNDS AT ALL. I HAVE SECURED ALL SCREWS FOR BASES AND SCOPE MOUNTS WITH LOCKTITE AND STILL THE GUN WILL NOT GROUP THE HORNADY ROUNDS. IF ANYONE ELSE HAS THIS GUN, ANY SUGGESTIONS ON…

is ur scope a buckmaster pro-staff? I had same problem with a 444 and come to find out the prostaff is a 2 piece design scope and it couldnt handle recoil. I changed to a buckmaster scope and problem solved, never changed bullets. I also shoot hornady

This is a video summary of some of my hunting season as seen from my deer stand. There?s a lot of interesting deer behaviors that can be seen in this video and it illustrates the beauty and fun of observing nature from a deer stand. I hope you enjoy it.

Very nice, enjoyed watching during my lunch, some fine looking bucks!

Do you own Glocks? Do you hunt with them?
I own many glocks. One day they might save my or my family’s life. I’d rather a reliable firearm and they,my friend, are reliable.

On thanksgiving day my wife Megan traveled to Bienville parish to meet me at our camp for 4 days of hunting. I had been hunting for 2 days already and had not seen anything shootable yet. But I knew exactly what stand this 115” 8 pt was going to everyday for the past week. For the first 2 days…

Congrats to your wife on a nice buck! Where did she end up hitting he buck? What ammo was she shooting? How far did it run?

Do you agree?
No I do not agree I don’t think anyone should be able to own any gun that holds 30 are more bullets and for self defense I would say shotgun with buckshot. I’m not against that kind of gun I’m against that many bullets

This buck has been around my place for over 4 years now. He is summering then leaves around early October never to be seen again till the following year. He is 5 1/2 to 6 1/2 years old and nothing more the a big cow horn spike! I sure hate that he is out there breeding Does! Hope you enjoy the pics

Letumgrow, that’s a big old spike. Definitely needs to be culled. Surprised he hasn’t been seen during hunting dates, disappearing once season starts? Hope you take him out this season!

did a test on deer head with 17 great results.
Yeah they are a monster for shooting rabbits, coons, and squirrells. It is illegal to hunt deer with a rimfire rifle.

I'll be sure to post a link to the results once they are ready...likely in a couple of months. Big thank you to everyone who has taken it this far!

People often ask me who processes my deer. I thought it was about time that I share my secret.
I’m interested in your 5.56 ammo. I’ll give you $225 for the 420 rounds. Thanks Danny

Been looking for a feeder for rice bran. the only one I found is sold at cabelas. It is called the powder keg feeder. Does anyone have this feeder or know anyone one that has used this feeder. If so does it work? Thanks
The problem with rice bran feeders is ANY moisture will cause the feed to cake up, thus causing the feed to clog up. We had a guy buy one of those feeders with the auger type spinner. This didn't work because of the moisture that clogged up the feeder opening.

Can anyone tell me the pro's-cons of a 35 Whelen vs a 45-70 on an Encore-they are legal in MS during muzzle loader season, and was wondering which is better all around. Distance, knock down, accuracy, bullet drop, etc. Any experience is welcome.
No experience with an Encore, 35 Whelen or 45-70, but I can vouch for the Knight KP1 in 444. Half inch group at 100 yards. Deadly on deer. Guess that didn't help much did it.
