I havent hunted Mississippi in 2 years. This year i will be hunting there again. I have been on the eregulations site looking for non-resident laws. I haven't seen anything saying non-residents (cant harvest) antlerless deer on public land. It shows when and where you can harvest them but…

February and March are great times of the year to do wildlife Habitat improvements on your hunting land. Most hunting seasons are over, and the weather is still cold or cool, hardly any bugs or snakes out moving around, and you can really see what your habitat looks like at its lowest point of the…

The last day of the primitive season I was fortune enough to take a nice buck with my .35 Remington CVA Hunter. I decided to drop the gut pile in front of one of my trail cameras. Within a few days there was nothing left but cleaned dirt. Buzzards started first followed by foxes, coyotes, and then…

I wondered if he’d be around again this year. Hunted him last year and he outsmarted me showing up on camera 30 minutes after legal shooting hours on the last day of season after disappearing for over a month. So....the pursuit begins anew. He’s one sharp dude but I hope to put a…

I recently discovered my SD cards were stolen from my deer cams' they left the cameras but stole the SD cards. They had to go through a lot of troublebecause you can only get to this place by boat.

I am so angry.... Nothing much that a filthy thief.

I was wondering if anyone thinks this spike needs to be culled! He looks almost as big as this 8 point! This spike weighed 160# & had 13’’ spikes! I wished we would have aged him!

Anyone with any knowledge of who the presidents are of HorseShoe Hunting Club and Magnolia Hunting Club around Franklinton, La? Does anyone know if Woodyard Hunting Club has any openings? or any other club in Washington Parish. Anything would be greatly appreciated!
Horseshoe's president used to be Jerry Hunt from Enon. I don't know if he still is.

I would like to hear how people handle the age old problem of getting off a stand with deer very nearby. In my case my bow stand is near my feeder and there is no way I can climb down quietly enough for them not to see or hear me. My camera shows the does often staying around the feeder for a few…

On Friday, October 26th, deer were moving late morning. Saw this 10 pt at about 9 a.m. from 300 yards following a doe. I watched them feed for over 30 minutes as they gradually moved towards me. The buck came within 20 yards when I took the shot.
