New To Sportsman Network?

Can anybody point me in the right direction for transom repair in the Covington/Mandeville area? I need some transom welding done to get me through the upcoming season before I can afford a new boat.
I have a little 14ft that has a crack in it on top.

Any help is appreciated.
I used an advertiser on this site called Tri Parish Fiberglass and they did excellent work on my 22' Predator Bay boat. the work was good and they went beyond my expectations. highly recommend.

Start of the second split did not disappoint. Conditions were good for a duck hunt. North wind around 10mph water height was good with slight overcast skies.

We had a couple of shots early then not much happened for a while and I got worried this may not be a…

I have never heard of one acting like that, save yourself some head achs and bring it to Go-Devil. I had to have the shaft replaced during hunting season they got my boat back to me in a few days and fixed a couple of other minor problems while they had the motor.

Made it to my spot for 610 am and had a limit by 635. Fired the first shot at 630. Hung out 10 more minutes to watch the show and by 645 had so many teal in the decoys I couldn't pick out the decoys! Picked up and headed home. Ended up with 5 gwt and one gray ( my first big duck this year!) Never…

Does anybody else find it humorous that every single report on that app is FALSE?! Can not trust or believe a single word on the reports. I know you will never get 100% the truth of a report so people don't come flood your hunting spot, BUT that does not matter anymore. Ever since Duck Dynasty…

I would like to get some feedback on surface drive motors being that they have been around for a few seasons now. I find it puzzling how you see a good bit come up for sale and most are fairly new. Are poeple buying them, not liking em and selling? We have been running go-devils for ever now…

Are you still required to carry the HIP Certification on your possession while hunting migratory game birds. Reason I ask is that I applied for my HIP the same time I applied for my deer tags. I have a lifetime license. Well, it came attached to the yardstick of deertags. I don't want to carry…

I have been privileged to hunt ducks all my life in Louisiana. I had a uncle that took me when i was 9 to his lease in cameron and from then on it has been a addiction. I now have 30 years of experience duck hunting. I have chased them all over the state, been on good and bad hunts. I have noticed…

Amen! I've posted similar remarks of how the money goes to keep them from needing to migrate on a Facebook forum for duck hunters, i.e heated ponds and you'd swear I slapped their mothers.

Anyone hunt ducks on the Mermentau River? We have some family land over there south of Jennings that butts up to the river. Just seeing if the hunting was good to see if its worth making the trip. Thanks
I live there, but can't say i know of anyone who hunts on the river, most people hunt rice fields around here. I don't see why you wouldn't be able to go shoot at least a few wood ducks and maybe teal.

Need some help. Anyone know of a good trainer for Labs in SE La? I am in Covington, and want to be a part of the training so I can learn too.

Thanks for any help.
Daniel Goldsby of Goldsby Retrievers in Amite is an awesome trainer and a heck of a guy. I highly recommend him for duck dog training.

Can someone tell me the pros and cons of a 26 inch barrel and a 28 inch barrel. Thinking of getting a new shotgun and cant decide which length barrel to get. thanks craig
Well I really dont think it matters, it might help if you are have a kid and need a shorter barrel. What really matters is the choke and not the barrel length.

Looking for a good duck hunting video game. Please reply with your thoughts on a game you have and any pros or cons about it. Looking preferrably for something associated with Wii and that also includes a shooting gun of some sort.
