On opening weekend a buddy and I road out to the kayak launch in Big Branch WLR. Absolutely no parking room... Did anyone do any good at all or has anyone been seeing ducks? Or should we not even waste our time?

That’s great news because I’m one of the hunters who have not shot. Lol. Maybe this cold front will move some birds into our state and business will pick up.

Anyone use the Reggio Marina lately? Is it open? What kind of shape is it in? Thanks
The ramp is open $10 in the drop box. They have hoses to clean the boat. Ramps are both in bad shape. Ramp on the drop box side is a little better but has a hole in it.

Due to nasty nautical weather predicted for about the time we typically launch,we made de executive decision to delay our launch a tad(in retrospect, wished we had launched about an hour earlier). The high water levels made the treks to our respective ponds real easy and I was unable to deploy RoBo…

Date Hunted 11/25/20:

Three of us went out and hunted the best blind on our duck lease and shot a total of 5 ducks. 3 Dosgris and 2 whistling tree ducks. Not much in the sky. One flight of greys high with no chance of coming down. Teal are gone for now and so are the buffleheads…

De Nuck and Futz Duo had intentions of possibly intercepting some teal and possibly a few big ducks and he had de hot hand today, nabbing a fine haul of five ducks and I struggled to even get a chance at a few teal, cashing in on exactly one to break a scratch.Saw more mottled ducks today, possibly…

I'm guessing that I still have to use non-toxic shot when duck hunting?

I do think lead was more efficient at getting clean kills over steel. Would like to see a study on how many birds and other critters died of lead poison back in the day v. how many cripples are lost when hit with…

Been doing decent the last couple weekends considering the weather. Shot 13 opening weekend and 17 last weekend. With all the hurricanes this year I’m just glad to still have a camp and a place to hunt. Hopefully it gets better as the season goes on

Well over here in Church Point Louisiana had a bunch of wood ducks coming in had A-blast shooting lost 2 found one. Sometimes that's the way it goes but had a lot of shots. Had A-blast even though I can't hit the side of a barn.
Hey that hen with an onion and some rice will do. What are you hunting, pond, creek, swamp etc? I’m in the east zone, so waiting on the 21st.
