I have permission from many property owners in our area to shoot nutria on their property. After the duck hunt Saturday, we took a ride to shoot some. Conditions were ideal, cold, sunny and low water. Alligators are dormant for the most part right now so the nutria come out for us to hunt.

The dove hunting has changed drastically over the last two decades in Acadiana. It's my opinion that it is mostly due to changes in farming practices and chemical weed control. Very Cool! All of my old Dove Hunting spots are no longer productive because of what you mentioned about modern farming practices. Only thing alive on a modern farm is the crop. I managed to get six on opening day.
