Planted a variety of fruit trees a few years ago and finally picking the fruits of the labor. Made my first batch of Mayhaw jelly and tried some Japanese plum jelly. Also added in some blackberry cobbler and will save the mulberries for some wine. Made some blackberry wine last year and tasted fine.

just curious, what other additions (proteins) do you add to crawfish, shrimp and crab boils. I know everyone adds sausage to the boils but anything else? I have added a pork loin to the water and it came out great. Anyone tried catfish filets?
I've never tried it personally, but it think catfish filets would fall apart in a boil. A few things I've tried as far as proteins is Mickey Browns Hot Tamale's, Hot Dogs,Deer Sausage, Whole Chickens,Eggs, Cocktail Weenies, and Oysters in the shell. They all came out good. Good Luck!

how do you cook some great fresh white beans????
Beast , I do white beans just like my red beans with onion , garlic , pork hocks and deer sausage in a crock pot . It's not like the dried out white beans you eat with jambalaya but it's how I like them the best .
