Another good bass trip

Had a great trip yesterday,ended the day @11 with 18 bass. 17 over 2lbs 1 13/4 lbs. Last few trips been some 20+ lbs stringers (5). Last trips were frog bite yesterday was swim bait. All fish released to fight another day. It's nice to just fun fish.

False River report

False River is high and muddy and bass fishing has been tough this weekend. Only managed to catch 6 bass in 3 mornings. 2 fish caught on a black Picasso buzz bait with red blades before 7am. Other 4 were caught on a pb&j chatter bait. This lure is now my go to muddy water bass catcher.

Bass limit on Bayou Libert plus two Reds

False River report

The water is much better this weekend than the last. Bass are chasing shad and I was able to fool them with a live target golden shiner. Caught several 10-11â€ fish but did boat 5 between 14 & 17â€. Should be good fishing this week between the rains.

Bassin has been a challenge this weekend in false river due to muddy water. I tried 14 different lures and finally started getting strikes on a pb&j colored chatter bait. I had to put a trailer hook on it to get the few I caught in the boat. Tough fishing.

Lock 1 Bass Fishing trip 5/30/20

A buddy and I decided to make a trip to Lock 1 this morning. I have always heard good things about the bass fishing there so we gave it a shot. Like always, fishing a new area, it took a little while to figure them out. We managed to catch 4 decent bass with a few missed opportunities.

From dusk until the sun comes up, a wacky rigged grape worm under the docks is catching bass. After the sun comes up, head for the canals on the south end with a sexy Shad crankbait. Good fishing.

We head to Salt Bayou for some bass fishing. Got a early start in the main bayou with no luck. Decide to head down the bayou that runs along Hwy 433 all the way down to the bulk head. There I find moving water, bait, and Bass! End up catching 8 bass and keeping 6.
