I killed a mess of ringnecks the past few weeks. Heard they were a little gamey. Anybody have a recipe or any advice? Thanks!

As most of you know, I've been collecting public comment on the zones and splits configuration because we get the chance to change our structure every 5 years and there 'may' be some additional options available this year.

Saturday was a perfect day for a duck hunt two of us shot 6 ducks. 4 dosgris - 1 wigeon - 1 canvasback. Not a lot flying around in the sky.

Today we went to another lease a friend of mine has and two of us shot 1 pintail and 1 grey duck. Slow times continue.

I wanted to do a little survey from the rice field hunters out there...As many of you know, I found a rice field lease this year after losing my marsh lease. I am kinda skeptical about rice fields, and as I thought, I am not having much success. To be honest, I have had to work on many of the…

One on right is definitely a mottle.

Killed this this weekend in Saline. came in with bunch of woodies. has woodie drake body and mallard drake head. his bill is same as woodie drake also. gonna have to find good taxidermy to mount this.
The kill of a lifetime, right there. Congratulations. I generally resist the urge to call up the taxidermists (the money that goes to him keeps me out of the field for a couple hunts), but with a singular bird like that, I'd cave in a hurry. Congratulations again.

This was shot this past weekend in the Bourg/Chauvin area.
That is a snow goose / blue wing teal hybrid.

I have a chance on a lease in Clearwater, LA which is two miles off of I-49 and borders Bayou Cocodrie. This is pretty much across the interstate from Cheneyville. The lease consists of a big cypress swamp. Can anyone tell me if there are any ducks in this area?

Can anybody point me in the right direction for transom repair in the Covington/Mandeville area? I need some transom welding done to get me through the upcoming season before I can afford a new boat.
I have a little 14ft that has a crack in it on top.

Any help is appreciated.
I used an advertiser on this site called Tri Parish Fiberglass and they did excellent work on my 22' Predator Bay boat. the work was good and they went beyond my expectations. highly recommend.

Hello fellow hunters,

A few year back I developed a creeping eruption as it is called in medical books, better known as 'Nuria Itch'. I’ve had it 10+ times over the years and it always had to run its 8-14 course which starts on your leg and stops at the neck unless it has enough life to keep going back down again.…
