Dear Capt. Paul,
I run a humminbird 859 HD on my boat.
I am starting to seriously look into upgrading, or adding a chip to give me the satelite maps.
During my research it seems that most of these maps are only compatible with the lowrance brand. Is this true?
Should i switch my gps/depth finder to a lowrance brand?
I dont really need the entire state of louisiana as i exclusively fish grand isle/leeville area. I am just becoming more concerned with the outdated maps that have me running over land in areas where no land is in site.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
