I'm looking for a place in the greater New Orleans area to take out my boat and throw some crab nets in and catch some crabs
There is a report going around that the Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries has threatened to fine anyone caught fishing while the virus issue is going on. I went to the LDF's website and it stated that the report is a lie. You will not be fined just for going fishing. Just wanted to pass it along.
anybody have any reports on the fishing in the Bayou Bienvenue area?
I put a few drops of lemon juice in the bag when I freeze mine
so sorry to hear that, I lost my beloved 11 yr old chocolate lab due to complications from surgery having two spots of cancer removed last March, I know your pain
last time I fished the bridge which was a long time ago, we fished at night with lights overlooking the water powered by a small generator. We used plastic baits that when held under the lights for a little while would glow in the dark. There were so many trout you could pick and choose which one you want to try and catch......There is an oversize net similar to a crab net that was used by lowering it into the water once you hooked a big fish to help you bring it to the top of the bridge
get one that you can split screen, works well for me
if you can ride your bike in your neighborhood, walk your dogs, why can't you go fishing? close contact with NO ONE,
I went fishing last week and I plan on going more this week, weather permitting, only person I came in contact with was the bait salesman at the launch
Sad part is, Louisiana Sportsman won't do a thing about it, they could shut them down but they won't, I've complained numerous times to them about it and it falls on deaf ears.
