Hey guys. I would like to take Bayou Cutler from the Pen down to Mud Lake. It looks a little faster then running through Perot/Rigolets. Are their any obstructions that I need to be aware of are is this a clean run all the way through? Thanks in advance.

Guys. Quick question. I would like to target some of the shallow ponds in Lafitte for red fish from now and into the summer. My question is this. Typically do you guys concentrate south of the Bayou Perot/Rigolets are can productive waters be located in and around the north central parts of Perot/Rigolets?

I have been doing really well soaking shrimp on the bottom near the jetties but want to try something different. Looking for a place to start.

I tried this yesterday in a Char Broil oiless turkey fryer. Got tied up doing something else forgot about the duck and pulled at an internal temperature of 190 in the breast. My fault. Anyway. The duck lost a lot of water, and the meat was a little tough and dry but not terrible. I'm going to try again and pay a little more attention. Thinking 165 maybe 170 in the breast next time.

LETUMGROW, thnx. I'm going to give it a shot and see what happens. I figured there would be reds in those areas but sometimes it's a little tough to get out of your comfort zone but at the moment theirs nothing more that I would rather then a red bruiser smashing a Top Dawg connected to my rod.

Capt JS. I know exactly what your talking about and I hoped you would chime in.I have been smashing the fish along the jetties you are referring to but I would like to try something different. I'm a little tired of the Gamay. I would like a sip of Merlot. As far as shallow water, well......Sometimes you have to risk it to get the bis-kit. But I can assure you I will be care full.

Thanks Guys and I wish you the best.

I'm also running a 2013 22 Fisherman with a 250 SHO. Low 60's the norm for me. Handles chop pretty good. The trim tabs really help out. This is the second Blazer I own. The first was a 2220 Professional. I love both of them. The Pro did not have trim tabs. They do make a world of difference in rough water. My 2220 Fisherman also runs faster then the Professional did. I had a 250 Etec on the Professional.
