Made a quick run to find some clean water on Inside on Friday! Got tight to the north side of a close bay and the wind was blowing the bait right in . I started fishing with a double black and Chartreuse beetle catching 2 at a time .I tried a few different things but that's all they wanted . Finished up my limit and one redfish just before it started to rain. Until next time

Had fun with family and friends on Black Friday. We headed down Wilkerson Bayou and made our way to Lake Laurier where the Trout have been biting! The bait of the day chartreuse beetle two feet under a cork. They have plenty of throw backs but I think they will stay there until we have a hard freeze. This information is a early x-mas present to my fellow fishermen! Peace out

Had a great time fishing with my wife and my youngest son.We went to the interior lakes early morning because of the late tide to catch a few reds and by mid-morning headed out to Barataria Bay to catch some trout! I couldn't believe how great the weather was the forecast was horrible. While fishing in the bay was greeted with what I think was A blacktip shark got him close to the boat for a pic then released him was A great fight! Lots of reds finally on the interior and it won't be long before the trout show up there too until next time!

Headed out to 4-Bayou this weekend with A large group we fished seven not as bad as I thought it would be.We had perfect conditions moving water and great weather! Tried several top producing reefs not many takers. Wondering if the fish left the area? We put about 40 trout in the boat had to work really hard for seven people. Most fish caught on minnows Carolina rigged couldn't get the Trou to touch plastic at all! We still all had a great time on the water ! Till next time Team Juneau

Decided to work around the camp until 2:00 Saturday because of A fishing rodeo at Myrtle Groove Marina they had at least 100 people attend . We wrapped up,loaded the boat ,and headed out about 2:30 went straight to Quatro Bayou Pass 1st stop started fishing around a camp no takers. Made a small move to the opposite corner an there they were waiting one after another! One of us was using live shrimp and the others were using 1/4 ounce jig with chartreuse minnow with black specks. We put 75 Trout ,3 Reds, and 2 black drum in 3hrs.Also we saw Wildlife enforcement checking a boat so make sure to have all your paper work.Until next time Team Juneau!!!

Took an old friend fishing today was a bit worried about the wind but the trout didn't seem to mind.Started off at 4-bayou trolling around the camps bite a bit slow. Moved around for about 1 hour in the general area and then they started one after another until we hit 50 . We were wrapped up by 10:00 best bait was 3/8 ounce jig head hybrid flurry fire avocado slow retrieve .Went to the beach and site casted a big jack fish for about 20 minute until I had enough and ripped it out of his mouth he was at least 25 lbs what a strong fish he literally pulled the boat around ! Peace out Team Juneau

Got A late start today due to some auto issues. We finially got on the water about 8:00 and headed straight for the outside.we saw plenty birds diving and shrimp jumping. We managed to catch our limit in no time.all fish caught on double beetle and 1/4 ounce jig head slow retrieve .Despite the high winds the trout are hungry and waiting! Woke up to calm winds this morning so I headed straight out to Barataria Bay to my favorite reef. Didn't take long the bit was fast -n- furious we caught 30 then it stopped.Made a few more stops in the bay to finish off our limit! The fish seemed to want live shrimp today.Until next time Team Juneau.

April 03, 2016 at 9:10pm

Made an evening trip 'solo'.I decided to go scouting for some clean water to try an catch some trout .Most areas were dirty but I found a few pockets clean. The trout wanted plastic on the bottom hot color of the day was black-n-chartreuse.Dont be afraid to move around the fish are there just try different techniques.Be back at em tomorrow!

Took A friend fishing Friday didn't expect the high winds to be as bad as they were so we stayed in the inside. We worked larger Bays with plastic the Trout didn't seem to be real aggressive so we switched to live shrimp .The shrimp really worked well it kept the Trout coming in consistently.Every stop we made fish were present I think we are going to have A great summer! We ended up having A great day and A full box so get out an start fishing!

Had the pleasure today to fish with my son Hunter and his sweetheart Carly! After the boat show lastnight we left out today with our game face on.Headed to some of my usual honey holes for this time of the year and boy they didn't disappoint .Found them stacked up limit didn't take any time, Put 75 nice Trout in the boat . We started out using live shrimp but it didn't really matter they were biting everything. After finishing we tried to get on a good redfish or sheepshead bite but the Trout wouldn't leave us alone! Looks like we are going to have a great year! Thanks guys for a great time.

Had the pleasure of fishing with a good friend of mine and captain Anthony with Cajun Fishing Charters out of Houma la.The Captain put us on some great Sacilet fishing and a few Bass as a bonus! Despite the wind and high pressure we still managed to put 40 fish in the boat! We used hot pink 24 lnches under a cork tight to the bank! Thanks again Captain for showing me your honey holes ?

A little bit windy this weekend but the reds didn't seem to mind ! All fish caught on soft plastic with a slow retrieve and the hot color was black with chatruse tail.

Headed down to Myrtle Grove this morning to catch the falling tide.Arrived about 6:30 and loaded up with some live crickets. We started fishing off the land and it didn't take long started slinging trout in one after another. It wasn't every cast but steady and the fish were nice 1to 3lbs.They had plenty of boats fishing plastic and catching small Trout but for some reason I couldn't get them to bite without live shrimp. We finished the day with our 50 trout and 1 Drum at about 12:30
What a great day of fishing unti next time in Paradise:){{{>

You are fishing in the wrong place the fish are on the outside! Start fishing when you get to Bariteria bay no closer! I went on Friday and caught my limit in 2hrs I was done at 9:30 am

If u new what u wanted u should have specified a redfish trip plenty of guides target redfish.Redfish r generally easier to find and the guide doesn't have to go as for on the other hand the guide should have gave u a reduced rate for the inconvenience .just my opinion :)
