This morning was much better than the Coastal Zone youth hunt!

What a difference a year makes! Lasy year I had my 6 ducks and 15 pool doo by 7:30am. This year only 2 pool doo! Only had 1 shot at a fast and furious Woodie that was on a mission! This is my last year of being able to make a youth hunt so I will be out again tomorrow. You can't shoot anything from your bed! Good luck to everyone!

3 Pounder on Old H&H Spinner Bait!

Caught a 3 pounder with a spinner bait.

Went fishing this evening and caught 8 sacalait. Caught a 12 inch sac. Ive caught bigger. great weather for it.

I have a 5 inch Goggle eye that I had as a pet in my aquarium. It died and I want to see about getting it mounted. Does anyone know anybody that will mount it for a reasonable price? Thanks.

This is a sad day for many people in the Coastal and West Zones, but there's always next year. Here is the sun setting on the last day. Still have another week for the East Zone though.

Went out and got 2 ducks. I managed to kill a nice grey duck. Very decoy shy. I was able to bring one group of greys in using my jerk chord. It brought them in good once they saw the decoys moving. Better than playing video games. All in all this was a great season for me!

Made my first hunt this morning since December 21st. I caught the flu and was out of commision for a good 10 days. I am only 14 years old and I can say that I never want to catch the flu again! Especially during hunting season! Did good this morning despite the fog. Stay safe everyone and the countdown is on. Get out in the marsh while you can!

Shot a pretty ringneck today. Getting mounted. Duck #7 to go on the wall.

Uncle Chuckie brought me to the lease this morning and had an ok hunt. Got 3 wigeons and 4 greys. Our shooting was a little rusty from the 2 week break.

Saturday, November 17, 2012. Bluebird day. Windy. Shooting time: 5:57a.m. Shooting time that inconsiderate hunters shot that day: 5:45a.m. Daybreak came and the ducks were coming into the pond like crazy. This was at 5:40 a.m.
The ducks were situated, doing their thing, and then... BOOM!! BANG!! KAPOW!!! was what we heard about 300 yards from us. They all took off. We thought that they wouldn't come back, but, they did! Then after about 15 minutes, we had 8 on the water. Then after about 20 more minutes we had 10 on the water. Then, a flock of teal buzzed us and landed in the decoys and we got 3 of them. Then after about an hour, we had our limit once again!

Made a duck hunt this morning and got 3 ducks. 1 dos gris, 1 redhead, and 1 widgeon. Fog was so thick you couldn't even see the sun! Gnats started biting, time to go! The dos gris has 5 toes on its foot instead of 4. Is this common or uncommon? have any of you guys ever come across a five toed duck before? Thanks.

Went to the lease today and got 11 ducks. 3 wood ducks, 3 grey ducks, 3 teal, and 2 spoonies. Slow morning, but we saw a lot of wood ducks flying. Late too.
