Clint Scioneaux's Canvasback from Vacherie La.
I am running a 90 day turnaround for the first 50 ducks this year.
Also the leg bands that I usally put on for $12 are free if you bring in a 2 duck min.
The new shop is finally built and have started taken in some deer and some bobcats. I am only going to take a limited number of deer this year until I can get another freezer.
Hope we have a good year looking at all the grass in the ponds but if teal season was any kind of hint of what the season will be like then I will be mounting more then hunting.Good luck and thanks for your business.
I never heard anything yet on this years season. What are any of you hearing. I am like everyone else and looking forward to a good year. Last year sucked as far as hunting for me but others seemed to do pretty good considering the amount of ducks mounted , I just wish I would have done better. Only time will tell
We are now on Facebook and had a great season. The new Taxidermy shop is almost completed and will make life much better having all the space and not having ducks all over my house.
The new shop is 70 feet by 40 foot and we will start taking deer next year when the new freezers arrive.
If you still have your duck in your freezer and want a beautiful trophy for your wall or desk give us a call at the shop and we will be glad to help you out.

Just sharing 3 mounts I finished for Christmas for a customer for his christmas gifts.I only wish I could shoot some of the ducks I get for mounts.
Happy New Year to all.
Just wanted to let everyone see the new shop progress. for those who have ask how it was going this is the progress so far. the building is up but still waiting on cement, plumbing, and electricity.
Will start getting in tables and freezers in the next few months. It took a while since Katrina to get her but its coming along finally . should be able to start deer next season.
Thanks to all my customers and friends on here.
Let my son take my boat and his friend who is home from the Marines and another friend this morning. I sat opening day out due to a little surgery and mounted some ducks for some kids from opening weekend.
the boys had their limit in about 2 hours and said the ducks were still flying strong . Looks like it will be another great season.Hope every is having a good start.
My area in St. Bernard has some teal but they sit all day in the High water and dont move.
I shot six with my son the other day and called it quits when it reached 90 degrees.
A customer called the other day and said he has two blue wings and a nice cinnamon teal to mount.
I guess it where your at this time of year.
Grey Ducks with Marsh Scene Habitat
Albino Coot that was mounted today with Marsh Habitat.
Many have asked to see it once it was mounted so I posted a few.
Just thought I would share a picture of a rare coot that I shot today while hunting. I usally dont shoot them but this one was odd and I want to mount him when I get a chance.
Hunting was really slow today, the ducks were in but just sitting, ugh second split hunting, took a shot at a male Bufflehead and guess what I got the female, she is pretty nice so she will become a mount also.
Well brought my son and his friend hunting the other day.Expected to get limits like the first split. Not to be, ducks flew but were flying here and there at best.
We made all shots count but had to work hard to get our limit.I told my son this is what second split hunting is about, that you have to be smarter then the ducks.
We did take the time and go out and redo our blind and get it back into great shape which help hide us from the weiry birds overhead,I am not to sure about my motion grey duck decoys this split.
They do come to look but stay out of range from the motion, so I moved the motion decoys in back of my blind and farther out from my decoy spread and bam it worked. The ducks fly over the blind to take a look at the motion decoy but not to land near it.
Really having to work this split but still getting limits or close to it each day.
thanks to all for getting your mounts in early..freezer is very full but turn around will still be the same ..have a great season.
The first split was great.Limit almost everyday. Plenty of greys with Redheads and a widgeon of two.
Went to work on the blind yesterday before the second split and the ducks were heavy. Looks to be another great split. Many thanks to all the people getting there Birds in early to me, but the late season birds are going to be great from what I seen out there the other day. Get them in to me quick and I can turn them around faster then the last minute rush..have a great season.
I know for all of the die hard duck hunters and LSU fans it almost to much to stand.
Beating Bama this weekend then heading to the blind next weekend is just almost more the a man can stand.
Until then I will just mount a few more ducks to get in the zone, Hope everyone has a great season and Go TIGERS..
Get your ducks in early and avoid the last minute rush.
Turn around times are much quicker earlier in the season.
